Bead Soup Reveal! Oh so Close!!
I am in the first reveal of Bead Soup and am shocked at how fast time flies since I first found out who my fab partner in soup was, Elisabeth Auld, http://www.beadsforbusygals.com. Saturday is the day when I can show what I made. I managed to ladle out a necklace, earrings, a shawl pin and maybe a bracelet. =)
Here is what I sent her, I hope she is having fun mixing, creating and stirring the brew!
And this is what she sent to me.This is the clasp I had to use and you can see a little of the main focal piece that had to be included.
I don't usually work the way bead soup wants you to so it was a challenge for me! I do not usually have a focal, clasp and beads to use for one piece. What I normally do is start with something, whether it be a bead, focal, cord or something like that and work around that inspiration. Finding beads in my many many many many(you get it) stashes and letting the jewelry take a life of its own. That's how it takes shape. So HAVING to use certain pieces in the jewelry (granted it was not strict) was interesting. I had fun with it and went a little crazy with the necklace. I love crazy so I am pleased!
oh you just have to wait until Saturday to see it!!!!
here is a little sneak messy peek~
Oh another thing I NEVER do is use a bead board. I wanted to totally go crazy and do alot of things I don't normally do to create jewelry. Eh, I am not so fond of the board and probably won't use it on a regular basis, but you do need to shake it up, you know. Yes, you read that correctly, I said I shook up my life by using a bead board. I need help. Maybe an intervention. Maybe a stiff drink. or both. ho boy.
Any who..... Until Saturday!
